Design and Implementation of an Educational FM Transmitter with FPGA Using SDR Techniques

The basic purpose of Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems is to use a digital signal processor numerically handle radio signals. like Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) perform tasks modulation, demodulation, creation, and line coding on these dramatically decreases the demand for analog circuit-based hardware. FPGAs are integrated circuits with wide range applications which made up links between programmable logic blocks. It's aimed at assisting creator realize functions that designer needs. In consequence, user may change function each block. VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL) commonly used in FPGA programming. this study, VHDL code was created, FM transmitter implemented board (CMOD A7) research. sound card interface PC send receive signals while suitable ADC DAC cards side same purpose. Audacity program playback sample wav files HDSDR SDR monitor record file format. Finally, using MATLAB code, recorded demodulated offline, output stored hard drive. obtained identical initial modulation signal, indicating correctly executed. As result, perfect foundation development training has been established.
